Dutch Neuroscience Meeting 2026

We’re looking back on a fantastic edition of the DNM this year!

Our team had the pleasure of organizing two scientific sessions, both of which sparked engaging discussions and brought together researchers from across the field.

– Patterns of Divergence: Sex Effects During Brain Development – From Cells to Circuits
– Spike Fast, Die Young? Development, Maturation, Plasticity, Dysfunction and Decline of Parvalbumin-Positive Neurons and Their Perineuronal Nets

In addition to these sessions, we also presented two posters showcasing our latest research. We were delighted to share our findings, exchange ideas, and connect with so many colleagues.

A big thank you to everyone who attended our sessions, visited our posters, and contributed to the inspiring discussions. We look forward to continuing these conversations and seeing you again at future meetings!

EMBL Symposium

Our team is attending a symposium on sex differences in health and disease at EMBL in Heidelberg, where researchers from around the world are coming together to share the latest advances in the field.

The symposium has been an inspiring opportunity to learn from leading experts, exchange ideas, and discuss new perspectives on sex differences in health and disease. During the poster session, we are presenting our research and engaging with fellow scientists about our work.

We have already received a great deal of positive feedback on SCANNER’s mission, highlighting the importance and relevance of our collective efforts. It is encouraging to see such enthusiasm for the work being carried out across the consortium, and we look forward to continuing these valuable discussions throughout the meeting.

Last Wednesday, we hosted a very successful SCANNER General Assembly — a great moment to come together and reflect on how far we’ve come.

Our PhD students presented their research progress so far, highlighting the diversity, quality, and ambition within the project. It’s inspiring to see how SCANNER continues to grow and evolve.

We also greatly appreciated the valuable insights and engagement from our advisory board and partners, helping us sharpen our direction and impact.

On April 3rd, something amazing happened! The SCANNER consortium came together for an exciting kick-off event, setting the stage for a revolutionary journey in neurodiversity research. With a resolute mission to enhance the diagnostic process for autism and other neurodivergent conditions, we’re not just thinking outside the box – we’re redefining the entire diagnostic landscape!
